Help Your Way

Do you want to make a change?

Whether its couples counseling, family therapy, or individual treatment, at Help Your Way we focus on helping you achieve the results you want.

We offer counseling services at our office on Monument Avenue in Richmond, VA, or in the convenience of your home, including many evenings and Saturdays.

Our partnership with you creates the path for lasting change.

Have you ever spent time and money on therapy that didn’t work?  We use simple feedback tools to identify ineffective services within the first few sessions, and quickly make changes to meet your needs. This could mean changing the treatment approach, or referring you to another therapist.  If we cannot help you for any reason, we will help you find someone who can.

Whether the focus is your marriage, your child, or yourself, your input and participation is critical. At Help Your Way, we check with you each week on your progress, measuring the changes you want.  Our goal is to make sure you are getting the results you are looking for.

The therapist needs to be a good match.

Credentials, training, and how much you like the therapist are all important, but not enough. Knowledge and skills are only useful if they mesh with your own strengths and values.

Research has found that the therapeutic relationship, from the client’s perspective, is even more important than the therapist’s training or methods. At Help Your Way we monitor the relationship each session from your perspective and make changes as needed to improve our effectiveness.

You should begin to see results quickly.

You begin to see improvement within 4-6 sessions. If this doesn’t happen, we need to change the methods, type of treatment, or therapist. You deserve to get the results you are looking for.

At the end of therapy, according to Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) data, the majority of Help Your Way customers rate themselves or their child as significantly improved with regard to the problem that brought them into therapy, with an overall positive change in their life and relationships.

Their lives get better. So can yours.

If you are looking for help to make a lasting change, please give us a call at 804-562-6604. We would be happy to answer your questions.
